My Nonna comes from the different worlds of two families that experience a common need through two very difference lenses.

Shelley and Simon

With their complex schedule, and energetic kids, often feel the weight of not having an extended family nearby.  They dream of someone with real experience, wise, engaging and nurturing - a “Nonna” figure – to help with the chaos of daily life.  Someone to assist with childcare, meal prep, and household chores during those hectic times.

Megs and Danny

Have the unwavering support of a large and engaged tribe on both sides of their family.  From picking up the kids from school, to helping cook meals, tutor the kids with schoolwork, singing lessons, music and sport – their family steps in seamlessly, making their challenges of modern parenting a bit easier.

These two very different worlds sparked the idea for My Nonna.  Shelley, Simon, Megs and Danny had a vision to build a community of kind, strong, wise individuals from all backgrounds and ways of life.  To find ways to help them support each other.  To give them an opportunity to discover a renewed purpose, create livelong bonds, or just earn some extra cash.  A chance to pass on some of their love, care, skills, and knowledge to families that could really use a “Nonna” in their lives.
